Bay Security Systems was started in 1994 by Andrew Straker. Andrew had been working in the security industry for 10 years with his previous employer in Tauranga. He was then ready to go out on his own and soon built up a huge client base during the housing boom years in Tauranga, Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, and Te puke in the 1990s.

Bay Security Systems still looks after all those existing alarm systems as well as fitting new systems. People are very relieved to have the same company who installed the system still able to service it over 20 years later.
